* The terms of use for WingClips allows clips to be downloaded and used only and solely for the purpose of illustrating sermon messages and/or teachings during free public religious services and/or teaching presentations. Further terms apply as detailed at the WingClips website.

The Theologica blog recently highlighted a great little summary by Andreas Kostenberger showing the eleven post-resurrection appearances of Jesus that we are aware of in the New Testament.
Whilst it may not be groundbreaking it is a great one page summary including the bible verses to lookup so you can read them yourselves.
Using pictures on your blog or website will make a more striking impact to your readers and make your posts instantly appealing. With so many blogs out there, it is vital to make sure that yours stands out. Using good quality images is the perfect way to compliment your well crafted posts.
Whether you are after photos, cartoon images or clip art you should be able to find what you are after in the websites shown below. Many of these images are also suitable for use in other material (e.g. Sunday school lessons etc.). To use the free images some websites may require you to create an account, whilst others may request that you give credit to them when you use the images. Some people take umbrage at this, but personally I am more than happy to give credit where it is due. Therefore, before you use any of the images just make sure you follow their ‘rules’ and don’t infringe any copyrights. However, all the websites are 100% legal and also have free plenty of free content.
Are there any websites that I’ve missed? If so please leave a comment and let everyone know your favorite site…
ASBO Jesus is a great light hearted blog, with some superb “cartoons” by Jon Birch. For the non-British an ASBO is an ‘Anti Social Behavior Order’ which are a kind of step down from getting a criminal record (they tend to get given to unruly youths and nasty neighbours!).
The blog is regularly updated, and you can see an example of one of his cartoons below, you’ll have to go to his blog to see more. You may not agree with all of the cartoon – but there are some real crackers in there!
Miss the preach on Sunday, or just want more spiritual nourishment?
This is part of a new weekly content for the site where I will recommend free sermons that can be downloaded via mp3, or via podcast. For those of you that have busy schedules this will let you cherry pick the best ones!

As I recently suggested the Holy Trinity Brompton sermons as a good place to look, I will pick one of theirs first.
‘EACH TREE IS RECOGNIZED BY ITS OWN FRUIT…” LUKE 6:44
The Titanic received five iceberg warnings just before it went down. When the sixth message came during the wee hours of the morning: ‘Look out for icebergs,’ the operator wired back ‘Shut-up! I’m busy!’ Thirty minutes later the great vessel; whose captain said, ‘Even God couldn’t sink this ship;’ was sinking fast. What happened? They forgot the truth about icebergs. What they saw above the water couldn’t have sunk the great ship. But unfortunately most of an iceberg is below the water. Do you know what? That iceberg represents your life! The 10% above the water is your reputation, the 90% below is your character. And it’s what’s below the surface that sinks your ship.
What is character?
a) self-discipline – the ability to do what’s right, even when you don’t feel like it
I have had on my heart for some time now to do a study into the names of Jesus, from the bible. I really believe that such a study will help to deepen my understanding of who Jesus is, and draw me closer to him.
I will be putting a list on the ‘names of Jesus’ page soon, which the study will be based on. If you think any are missing just just let me know (with the relevant bible verse).
Then, as any of the mini-studies are finished I will publish them on my blog.
