Free Christian images from google!

For anyone who is a Christian blogger or needs images for any work an update to the google image search has vastly improved its functionality. You can now search by the creative commons classification for images! This means that you can limit the search to those images which are legally allowed to use because of the permission of whoever owns the image. Previously it was dangerous to use google images as you couldn’t be 100% sure it was safe to use the images.

To use this filter got the advanced search option (to the right of the search box on the image search page) and then choose the usage rights that you need.

The jury is out as to whether the images are better than Flickr or other options, but nonetheless this could be useful source of photos and images. Just tap in your Christian oriented word and search away!

Free Christian Clip Art

Christian Cliparts have been busy recently adding more great clip art to their collection over the last few months. I really love their clip art, which are all of a similar style. This means if you like the style you can use them to and keep the same design, the flip side is if you don;t like them then you never will!

All of the clip arts they produce are of a high quality, the one to the right shows Sodom & Gomorrah being destroyed (Gen 19:23-26)

Free Christian scriptures wallpaper

If you need some new Christian wallpaper as a background for your PC or Mac then Tim Challies may have the answer! As part of his memorizing the scriptures series, Tim is producing a Christian wallpaper for the verses that are being covered. So far Romans 13 is provided but soon you will also be able to get Psalm 8, Psalm 103 and Romans 12.

As you can see the Christian wallpaper background that Tim has produced of is a particularly high quality.

Fantastic free Easter pictures

Good quality Easter pictures are tricky to find as they are not so clearly defined as Christmas themes. If you don’t want to have an Easter picture of an egg, chick or bunny what do you do?

To make it easier for you I’ve found nine fantastic free Easter pictures, some of which are photos and some clip art. The pictures are grouped into some of the key themes of Easter. All of the Easter pictures can be used or no cost, but please check the exact terms of use (most require attribution and non-commercial use). Also for high resolution pictures visit the original links for each of the Easter pictures.

Last years’ popular post Where to find the best free Christmas clip art remains a great guide to finding the high quality free Christian clip art for Christmas.

Rather than rehash the same post here is a collection of the best 10 Christmas images available free in Flickr.

All of the images are free to be used, but ensure you check the Creative Commons License of the picture as some may not let you alter the image. You should always provide a link to the pictures if you use them.

Where to find the best FREE Easter clip art!

So you want high quality Easter clip art? You want it free? And you don’t any bunny or egg pictures? You have just set yourself a tall order, but thankfully I have scoured the internet to find best free Easter clip art that money doesn’t have to buy!

The one clip art I will mention with a bunny and an easter egg on is the image above from the superb AsboJesus. Check out the website for more great cartoons and images.

Asbo Jesus added to the definitive Christian clip art guide

Asbo Jesus is a great website for Christian cartoons/clip art that is free to use as long as you link back to the website. I have reviewed Asbo Jesus in more detail in the past, but have now added it to the popular ‘Definitive guide to free Christian clip art’.

Where to find the best free Christmas clip art

With Christmas almost upon us you may be scouring the net trying to find the perfect Christmas themed graphics, clip art, or images for your website. But where do you go to find good quality Christmas related clip art when so many of the images are cheesy or badly designed?

Christmas trees flickr The recent ‘Definitive guide to free Christian clip art’ post from this blog is a good starting point. However a lot of these may not have great Christmas clip art (or any at all) depending on their focus.

The websites shown below are the best places on the internet I could find for Christmas clip art. Stock Exchange and Flickr tend to be more aimed at the social aspect of Christmas whereas the other websites are more likely to have nativity images. This is not a definitive rule though and there is some cross over so you may want to browse through all of the websites!
