If you’re a fan of the bible and google earth then this website will certainly interest you. In a nutshell Biblemap.org merges them both and adds a lit bit more too!
It is simple to use, first of all you select the book and chapter that has a location you are interested in. This can be done either in the ESV or KJV translation. Then any places that have been added are highlighted, and by clicking on them google maps will go to that place. Obviously you can then zoom in or out and scroll around. A nice touch is that a little description and other photos that may help put the place in perspective are included.
The design is slick, and it is great fun to use. There is a great interview with the designer Tim Kimberley at the ESV website if you want to have a bit more of an insight.
Summary
Biblemap.org is simple to use, fun and looks good!
